Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

Grade-II / Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute. (Some departments may require basic Computer Proficiency).
Legal Assistant Degree in Law from a recognized university. Plus, 1 to 3 years of experience as a Legal Practitioner or handling Legal work in a Govt Department/PSU depending on the exact department.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
Junior Engineer (Civil) Degree in Civil Engineering OR 3-years Diploma in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience.

2. Age Limit (As on 25/03/2026):

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years (For ASO and Legal Assistant). Check specific post limits for AE/JE.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (Delhi)/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen categories as per Government rules.

DSSSB Legal Assistant Exam Pattern 2026

Tier 1 Exam Pattern: Consists of Section A (GA, Reasoning, Arith, Hindi, English – 20 Qs each = 100 Marks) and Section B (Concerned Subject – 100 Qs = 100 Marks). Total: 200 Questions, 200 Marks, Duration: 2 Hours.

Tier 2 Exam Pattern: Consists of Part 1 (100 Qs = 100 Marks) and Part 2 (100 Qs = 200 Marks). Total: 200 Questions, 300 Marks, Duration: 3 Hours.
