Evaluation Criteria & Cut Off Marks
1. Preparation of Merit List:
- The CGPSC SSE Prelims Result 2026 will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained in Paper 1 (General Studies).
- Paper 2 (CSAT – Aptitude Test) is strictly qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper 2 to have their Paper 1 evaluated.
- The marks scored in the Preliminary Examination will not be considered for the final result or merit list. It is purely a screening test to determine eligibility for the Mains examination.
2. CGPSC Prelims Cut Off 2026:
The cut-off marks will be released along with the result PDF. It represents the minimum score required in Paper 1 to qualify for the Mains. The cut-off varies every year and depends on multiple factors, including:
- The total number of candidates who appeared for the exam.
- The overall difficulty level of the question paper.
- The total number of available vacancies (238 for 2026).
What After CGPSC SSE Prelims Result 2026?
Candidates who secure marks equal to or above the official cut-off score will be declared “Qualified” in the preliminary screening. These successful candidates will be required to fill out a separate Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the CGPSC Mains Examination, which is officially scheduled to take place from 16th May to 19th May 2026.
