Candidates who possess a B.E./B.Tech, Diploma in Engineering, or an ITI certificate in specified trades and have passed their qualifying examination in or after 2022 are eligible to apply. Who Can Apply? (Rules to Join)
- Age Rule: You must be at least 18 years old. You cannot be older than 26 years old (as of March 31, 2026). Some special groups get a few extra years to apply.
- Where You Live: You must be an Indian citizen from the Northern states like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, MP, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, or Uttarakhand.
- School Passing Year: You must have finished your Degree, Diploma, or ITI in the year 2022 or later.
- Important Rule: If you already did an apprenticeship before, or if you have worked at a job for 1 year or more, you cannot apply for this. Also, you can only apply for ONE subject.
Pay / Monthly Money (Stipend)
While you learn and work for 1 year, AAI and the Government will give you money every month to help you out:
- Graduate (Degree) Students: Rs. 15,000 per month.
- Diploma Students: Rs. 12,000 per month.
- ITI Students: Rs. 9,600 per month.
How Will They Pick the Winners?
There is no big written test! They will look at the marks you got in your college or ITI. The people with the highest marks will win. After that, they will check your original school papers and a doctor will check to make sure you are healthy.

- If you are an ITI student, go to the NAPS website (www.apprenticeshipindia.org).
- Register your name and make a profile.
